Some students forgo a D3 opportunity to pursue their academic interests at another university. The overview above shows what information we found at 27 schools. The charts below examine individual players at just three: UCLA, Virginia, and Stanford. We reviewed 70 players on their 2025–26 rosters and included the 61 listed as freshmen through seniors, or first- through fourth-year students. We selected these three rosters because their information was accessible, so the results should not be generalized to all 27 schools or used to estimate admission chances.
